(Pinus sylvestris)

This is the blossom of guilt, an extremely noxious and deeply damaging feeling. It can be acute and of a very specific origin, or it can be blurred and obscure, deeply buried in our sub-conscious, from where it insidiously poisons all our life. Pine-people have pronounced low self-esteem extending to a vigorous inferiority complex. They have an everlasting tendency to repent in sackcloth and ashes and take all kinds of guilt off anybody. These self-accusations and self-castigation are a horrible way to live with ourselves and lead us to the conviction that ‘we are not good enough’. Therefore, we need to reach for this Remedy that can help us to transform those feelings into the ability to assess our qualities and faults realistically and to gain acceptance and temperance in our attitude towards ourselves. This will contribute to healthier relationships with others, as well.

Dr Bach's description

For those who blame themselves. ... they think that they could have done better, and are never content with their efforts or the results. They are hard-working and suffer much from the faults they attach to themselves. Sometimes if there is any mistake it is due to another, but they will claim responsibility even for that.
